Overview:
Handheld centrifuge The key lies in its “small size.” It belongs to the category of mini centrifuges.
Because it’s small, nimble, and portable, its audience is fairly broad and it enjoys high popularity.
The handheld mini centrifuge features a novel and unique design, is highly versatile and compact, and comes equipped with two types of rotor blades as well as a variety of tube adapters. It’s suitable for 2.0 ml, 1.5 ml, 0.5 ml, and 0.2 ml centrifuge tubes, and also compatible with 0.2 ml eight-tube strips used in PCR applications. With its user-friendly design, the centrifuge includes a lid-open pause function. The semi-transparent, round top cover and multiple rotor options fully embody a new philosophy centered on people and dedicated to supporting scientific research.
However, whether you're using a large-scale centrifuge or a mini handheld one, you need to stay fully alert and pay close attention during operation—especially the 15 operational precautions mentioned below.
1. When the centrifuge is in the pre-cooling state, the centrifuge lid must be closed. After the centrifugation is complete, remove the rotor and place it upside down on the lab bench. Wipe dry any remaining water inside the chamber, and leave the centrifuge lid open.
2. During precooling, the rotor lid can be placed either on the centrifuge’s platform or on the lab bench. Under no circumstances should it be left floating loosely on the rotor without being securely tightened, as an accidental start-up could cause the rotor lid to fly off and result in an accident!
3. After tightening the rotor cover, be sure to use your fingers to check that there is no gap between the rotor and the rotor cover. If there is a gap, loosen and retighten the cover until you confirm that there is no gap before starting the centrifuge.
4. During the centrifugation process, operators must not leave the centrifuge room. If any abnormal situation occurs, operators must not turn off the power supply (POWER); instead, they should press STOP. Before pre-cooling, operators must complete the centrifuge usage log.
5. Do not use substandard or counterfeit centrifuge tubes, nor use centrifuge tubes that are aged, deformed, or cracked.

6. The bottom of the centrifuge tube sleeve should be padded with cotton or a test-tube pad.
7. If the electric centrifuge makes noise or the machine body vibrates, immediately disconnect the power supply and promptly troubleshoot the issue.
8. Centrifuge tubes must be placed symmetrically in the rotor to prevent vibration of the machine body. If there is only one sample tube, the other tube should be replaced with an equal amount of water.
9. When starting the centrifuge, you must first close the top cover before slowly turning it on.
10. After the separation is complete, first turn off the centrifuge. Only after the centrifuge has come to a complete stop may you open the centrifuge lid and remove the sample. Do not use external force to forcibly stop the centrifuge from rotating.
11. Centrifuge tubes must be properly balanced, and care should also be taken to ensure positional balance when placing them into the rotor. Never exceed the maximum rated speed of either the centrifuge or the rotor.
12. Be sure to leave the centrifuge only after it has reached the preset speed; if you notice any abnormalities, stop the machine immediately.
13. Usually, you can determine whether the centrifugation process is normal simply by listening to the sound; you can also pay attention to any vibrations in the centrifuge.
14. After using samples containing high-salt solutions such as ammonium sulfate, be sure to thoroughly clean the rotor and also sanitize the centrifuge chamber.
15. Ultra-high-speed centrifuges, due to their extremely high rotational speeds, are also more complex and require specialized training for operation.
