Overview:

In a centrifuge’s angle rotor, the axis of the centrifuge tubes forms a fixed angle of 20 to 40 degrees with the rotation axis; the larger the angle, the better the separation effect.

1. Structure of the Angle Rotor in a Centrifuge: In an angle rotor of a centrifuge, the central axis of the centrifuge tubes forms a fixed angle of 20 to 40 degrees with the rotation axis. The larger the angle, the better the separation effect.

II. Advantages of Centrifuge Angle Rotors:
1. Low center of gravity, low resistance, and stable operation.
2. It is advisable to separate at high speed.

III. Disadvantages of Centrifuge Angle Rotors:
1. Large-capacity separation is not recommended.
2. During particle sedimentation, particles first collide with the centrifuge tube wall in the direction of the centrifugal force and then slide along the tube wall toward the bottom of the tube. As a result, particle deposition occurs on one side of the tube, leading to the wall effect, which can impair the separation efficiency.
