Overview:

The main rotating arm of the centrifuge is a metal structural component with extremely high mechanical performance requirements. Chromium-molybdenum alloy materials are commonly used for this part. However, these materials have very poor weldability. To address the key technical challenges, we analyzed the causes of various defects from both the perspectives of cold and hot cracking tendencies. As a result, we developed a new welding process—“post-assembly low-heat-input manual straight-line post-weld heat treatment”—and proposed corresponding technical measures to minimize the occurrence of various defects and meet the performance requirements of the chromium-based alloy main rotating arm.

To address the key technical challenges, we analyzed the causes of various defects from both the perspectives of cold and hot cracking tendencies. As a result, we developed a new welding process—“post-assembly low-heat-input manual straight-line back-welding”—and proposed corresponding technical measures to minimize the occurrence of various defects and meet the performance requirements of the chromium-based alloy main component swing arm.
Centrifuges commonly found in laboratories—whether benchtop or floor-standing models with a maximum speed of around 4,000 rpm—are briefly described below, along with instructions on how to use them generally.
  1. Place the liquid to be centrifuged into a centrifuge tube.
  2. Place the centrifuge tubes containing the liquids to be centrifuged separately into two complete centrifuge buckets, each equipped with rubber pads. Balance the two buckets on either side of the balance scale; then, using a dropper, add water to the lighter bucket until equilibrium is achieved.
  3. Check that there are no foreign objects or unnecessary tubes inside the centrifuge, and ensure that it is running smoothly. Place the two balanced tubes symmetrically on the centrifuge’s rotor platform. Close the lid and turn on the power.
  4. Turn the timer knob to the desired time (in minutes).
  5. Slowly push the speed adjustment lever to increase the centrifuge’s rotational speed. When the centrifuge reaches the required speed, record the centrifugation time.
  6. After reaching the centrifugation time, gradually slow down and disconnect the power supply, when... Centrifuge After natural stop, remove the centrifuge tube and the centrifuge rotor.
  7. Pour the balancing water into the centrifuge tube and then invert the tube to dry it in a dry place.
  8. Maintenance and Care of Centrifuges:
① Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
② Must be grounded during use to ensure safety.
③ After the centrifuge is started, if any abnormal noise or vibration occurs, immediately cut off the power supply, analyze the cause, and eliminate the fault.
④ During use, try to avoid spilling the sample solution onto the machine or into the rotor. After use, clean up promptly.
  Clean and wipe thoroughly.
⑤ The centrifuge should be stored in a dry room.
Centrifuges have a wide range of applications and are suitable for industries including chemical engineering, petroleum, food processing, pharmaceuticals, mineral processing, coal mining, water treatment, and shipbuilding. With the continuous advancement of China’s centrifuge technology and the growth of domestic centrifuge enterprises, the gap between domestically produced centrifuges and imported products is narrowing. Currently, domestic companies have mastered core technologies, and domestic brands are steadily rising in prominence. Centrifuge The diversified pattern is becoming increasingly evident.
