Overview:
Based on years of market sales experience and a deep understanding of market trends, Shanghai Luxiangyi Centrifuge Instrument Co., Ltd. has developed certain expertise in selecting centrifuges for separating diamond micron powder particles by size. To begin with, let’s take a closer look at diamond micron powder itself. Diamond micron powder has an extremely wide range of applications and commands a very high value—far exceeding the price of gold. It is typically sold by weight in carats, and the more uniform its particle size distribution, the higher its selling price. Thus, the key to maximizing commercial value lies in how efficiently we can separate and extract the crushed diamond micron powder.
For many years, Shanghai Luxiangyi Centrifuge has conducted in-depth research with technical personnel from the diamond industry and has developed a set of highly effective and scientifically sound separation methods. First, under uniform mixing conditions, the diamond micron powder is subjected to low-speed centrifugation to separate out coarse particles. The coarse particles are then removed. Next, the supernatant obtained from the initial centrifugation is subjected to medium-speed centrifugation to extract the medium-sized particles. Finally, high-speed centrifugation is used to isolate the finest diamond micron powder. By varying the centrifugal force through adjustments in rotational speed and employing these three sequential steps, it becomes remarkably simple to separate and extract micron powder particles of large, medium, and small sizes.
To enhance the efficiency of diamond micron powder centrifugation, Shanghai Luxiangyi has specially designed a round-cup centrifuge with a single-cup capacity of 2,000 ml. This 2,000-ml single-cup round-cup design is a domestic first. Other manufacturers only offer square cups with a capacity of 2,400 ml. Of course, we also have 2,400 ml square cups, but square cups are not ideal for diamond centrifugation. As the name suggests, square cups have sharp edges and corners. During the settling process, this design leads to uneven settling of fine powder particles. The reason is that the four sharp edges and corners inside the cup prevent the material from rotating at a uniform speed. Think about it: as the material rotates, when it comes into contact with the cup’s edges and corners, it experiences a reactive force from the cup walls, causing it to bounce back or immediately slow down. Meanwhile, the material in the center continues to separate at its original speed. This discrepancy results in an uneven distribution of the separated diamonds. That’s precisely why Shanghai Luxiangyi took this issue into account right from the start when designing our diamond micron powder centrifuge. As a result, we’ve now gained widespread recognition among manufacturers in the diamond centrifugation industry.
The uniquely designed 2000ml round cup—made from premium 316L stainless steel—has addressed the challenges faced by pharmaceutical manufacturers in obtaining GMP certification and resolving diamond micronization issues, earning widespread recognition within the industry. Shanghai Luxiangyi will certainly live up to everyone’s expectations and continue to uphold the principle of technology-driven innovation, designing products that are more practical, stable, and cost-effective for our broad customer base.
