Centrifuge
Centrifuge The “right way to get started” isn’t simply about turning on a centrifuge—don’t be misled; let me explain it to you slowly. With the advancement of technology, the variety of centrifuges available has become increasingly rich and diverse, and more and more people are purchasing them. However, no matter who you are or what type of centrifuge you’ve bought, there are still certain details you need to pay close attention to when receiving the goods and during the subsequent installation process. Today, Shanghai Luxiangyi Centrifuge Instrument Co., Ltd., as an experienced centrifuge manufacturer, would like to offer some advice to all centrifuge buyers: When confirming receipt of your order and during installation, try your best to pay attention to the following points. Below, we’ll take the desktop high-speed centrifuge as an example.
  1. Unboxing:
After receiving the desktop high-speed centrifuge, first check the packaging for any severe damage. If you find any damage, please contact our company. If the packaging box is intact, open it and verify, according to the packing list provided in the manual, that both the main unit and all accessories are complete. If anything is missing, please contact our company immediately.
  2. Installation environment requirements:
The air should be free of conductive dust and corrosive gases, with a relative humidity no greater than 85%. Avoid direct sunlight and ensure there are no other sources of strong vibrations. The desktop high-speed centrifuge should be placed on a solid, level surface, with its four rubber feet evenly distributed to prevent unnecessary vibrations.
  3. Installation space requirements:
Desktop high-speed Centrifuge The rear side of the unit must be kept at least 30 centimeters away from the wall to ensure adequate air circulation and heat dissipation. The room temperature should not exceed 30°C to guarantee optimal performance.
  4. Power supply requirements for installation:
The desktop high-speed centrifuge uses a single-phase AC power supply of AC 220V/50Hz, 5A. The power supply must have an independent ground wire; it is strictly prohibited to use the neutral wire in place of the protective earth wire.
When the centrifuge is in the pre-cooling state, the centrifuge lid must be closed. After the centrifugation is complete, once you remove the rotor, place it upside down on the lab bench, wipe dry any remaining water inside the chamber, and leave the centrifuge lid open. During ultracentrifugation, the centrifuge tubes must be filled completely with liquid. If vacuuming is required during ultracentrifugation, make sure to evacuate the air thoroughly—only by filling the tubes completely can you prevent them from deforming. If the tube caps have poor sealing, do not fill the tubes completely to avoid leakage, which could interfere with the proper functioning of the sensors. When pre-cooling the rotor, its cap can be placed either on the centrifuge’s platform or on the lab bench; under no circumstances should you simply leave the cap floating loosely on top of the rotor, as an accidental start-up could cause the cap to fly off and lead to an accident!
Always connect the grounding wire when using the centrifuge. The substances added to the centrifuge tubes should be relatively balanced. If an imbalance occurs, it could cause significant damage to the centrifuge and at the very least shorten its service life. After tightening the rotor cover, be sure to use your fingers to check for any gaps between the rotor and the cover. If you detect a gap, loosen and retighten the cover until you confirm there is no gap before starting the centrifuge. During the centrifugation process, operators must not leave the centrifuge room. In case of an abnormal situation, operators must not turn off the power supply (POWER); instead, they should press the STOP button. Before pre-cooling, be sure to complete the centrifuge usage log.
The above is Centrifuge Regarding the details of inspecting, unpacking, and installing the goods upon receipt—as well as special precautions during operation—we’d like to kindly remind all our customers: Please don’t attempt to assemble or disassemble the product on your own. If you encounter any issues, the best course of action is to promptly contact the manufacturer!
