Overview:

The use of blood bank centrifuges should ensure the highest-quality operating environment, which includes requirements for power supply voltage, grounding, and floor conditions.
Blood bank centrifuge Also known as the blood bank-specific centrifuge, this centrifuge is specially designed to meet the blood bank’s need for rapid centrifugation. It features microcomputer control, digital display, and brushless DC motor drive, with storage capacity for nine user programs. The acceleration and deceleration times are short, with a minimum acceleration time of ≤10 seconds. Equipped with an electronic door lock and featuring a stainless steel inner chamber, it allows users to modify operating parameters during operation. Its self-diagnostic system can automatically detect various faults—including overspeed, imbalance, and door interlock failure—and displays corresponding fault codes.
During the operation of a blood bank centrifuge, if the blood bags being centrifuged and separated in the centrifuge are found to be damaged, the user should analyze the causes of this failure, which may include:
1. Catheter Exposure: Due to insufficient placement of the blood bag into the centrifuge cup, the catheter and its protective sheath may end up exposed at a high position near the top edge of the centrifuge cup. Alternatively, if the catheter hangs outside the centrifuge cup during centrifugation, it could be pulled out of the cup without any obstruction. As a result, the catheter may break, and the Clicktip could damage the protective sheath. Shanghai Luxiangyi Centrifuge would like to remind you that this situation could lead to extremely dangerous incidents, such as the catheter becoming entangled around the centrifuge’s rotor shaft.
2. Dead Space: The "dead space" is the primary cause of centrifuge-induced bag damage. During centrifugation, blood bags are subjected to tremendous centrifugal forces—equivalent to weights ranging from hundreds of kilograms to over a ton per bag. If the blood bag were in full contact with the centrifuge cup, the cup would bear the full brunt of this immense force, thereby preventing any damage to the blood bag. However, if a dead space exists between the blood bag and the centrifuge cup, the thin film—approximately 0.4 mm thick—cannot withstand the force exerted by the blood drawn into the dead space, leading to deformation (wart-like protrusions) and eventual bag rupture.
Blood bank centrifuge Its use should ensure the highest-quality operating environment, which includes:
1. Power Supply Voltage: Voltage fluctuations must comply with the national standard within a tolerance of ±10%. If voltage fluctuations exceed this range, it is recommended to use a voltage regulator to ensure compliance with the power grid requirements.
2. The grounding wire must be secure: The wiring of the room’s power supply must meet the required standards. In China, the power system uses a three-phase four-wire configuration. The three phases refer to the three-phase electricity used in industrial settings. When using three-phase power, the neutral wire and the ground wire must be kept separate. More importantly, whether it’s three-phase industrial power or ordinary single-phase power, the ground wire must be reliably connected to prevent electric leakage. Under no circumstances should the ground wire be connected to heating pipes or water pipes.
3. The floor must be level and stable: For large centrifuges, the floor at the installation site must be firmly secured to ensure that the centrifuge rotor operates smoothly without sinking or deforming. The ground at the installation and fixing location should be both level and sturdy.
4. Adjust the level: Find a small, relatively accurate spirit level. With the centrifuge lid open, locate the horizontal position on the spindle. Adjust the level by turning the adjusting bolts located next to the four casters. Be sure that the “L”-shaped foot does not hang in midair.
