Overview:
After purchasing a high-speed refrigerated centrifuge, customers may find that improper operation significantly shortens the equipment’s service life and even frequently leads to machine malfunctions, causing considerable inconvenience and disrupting the progress of their centrifugation experiments. To address this issue, we’ve specially compiled a set of guidelines for extending the service life of benchtop centrifuges for your reference:
Before starting operation, first disconnect the power supply and release the centrifuge brake. You can manually try rotating the drum to check whether there is any binding or jamming.
Check other parts for looseness and any abnormal conditions.
Connect the power supply and start the machine by turning the switch clockwise (typically, it takes about 40 to 60 seconds from a standstill to normal operation).
Typically, each piece of equipment must be run empty for about 3 hours after it arrives at the factory; it can begin operation as long as no abnormalities are detected.
The materials should be placed as evenly as possible.
It must be operated by a dedicated person, and the capacity must not exceed the rated capacity.
Operating the machine at speeds exceeding the rated limit is strictly prohibited.
Like other electronic devices, centrifuge equipment can be a valuable assistant in separation and centrifugation experiments when used properly. However, improper use may lead to machine malfunctions or failures, thereby shortening the centrifuge’s service life.
