Recently, the “2014 Gree Photovoltaic Direct-Drive Inverter Centrifugal Chiller National Tour Launch Event” was held in Guangzhou.

It is understood that Gree’s photovoltaic direct-drive inverter centrifugal chiller was launched in Zhuhai in December 2013 and has been recognized by a national authoritative body as “a global first and internationally leading.” This product uses solar energy directly to power the air-conditioning unit, eliminating the conversion losses associated with photovoltaic inverters connected to the grid as well as the rectification losses incurred when the electricity enters the air conditioner. As a result, the utilization rate of photovoltaic energy is improved by approximately 6% to 8%. Moreover, this technology eliminates the need for separately purchasing and installing grid-connected inverters, thereby saving on both investment costs and installation space requirements. The technology has already been granted 15 invention patents.
