Overview:
The bearings of a centrifuge are a crucial component. Typically, experienced centrifuge experts will ask the manufacturer a series of questions about the bearings when purchasing a centrifuge. There are several possible reasons for bearing overheating; each case needs to be analyzed carefully and in detail.
First, the issue could be due to overload or overloading; it could also stem from problems with the cooling fan or other components. Additionally, heat generated by mechanical friction might be a contributing factor. However, the primary concern is whether the bearings are genuine. Some users, in pursuit of lower prices, opt for low-cost bearings, which can lead to bearing overheating, even burning out. Therefore, we must first and foremost emphasize the importance of purchasing genuine (imported) bearings.
Second, pay close attention to maintaining proper lubrication of the machinery. Use high-quality, high-temperature lithium-based grease—whether the lithium-based grease is good or poor is another major cause of bearing overheating. Additionally, carefully inspect the specific conditions: if mechanical friction is present, it will be accompanied by noise, and you’ll notice obvious wear on mechanical components. If you suspect that the bearings are loose, then there’s definitely an issue with the bearings, and they’ll need to be replaced. We recommend purchasing genuine, imported bearings.
Centrifuges are high-speed chemical equipment, and high speeds necessitate the use of high-quality bearings. High-quality, authentic bearings can ensure the centrifuge operates smoothly and reliably over a long period, with a service life that can extend to more than 10 years.
Third, whether the concentricity of the centrifuge’s main spindle is accurate is often overlooked under normal circumstances. If the main spindle’s concentricity deviates significantly, it can easily lead to bearing overheating.
