Overview:
Operating Instructions for Rotors in Desktop Centrifuges
With the continuous development of China's centrifuge industry over the past few years, we can now find a wide variety of centrifuge types and models on the market. As one of the most commonly used centrifuges, benchtop centrifuges are widely applied in fields such as clinical medicine, biochemistry, and immunology, making them ideal instruments for centrifugal separation in hospitals at all levels, research institutions, and higher education institutions.
Proper operation Desktop centrifuge The steps:
1. Before operation, you must carefully read the centrifuge operating manual, as the operating procedures for each type of centrifuge are different. We cannot apply a single method to all centrifuges.
2. Select a rotor suitable for the desktop centrifuge and check whether the rotor and the chamber are clean.
3. To prevent the centrifuge tubes from rupturing during centrifugation, please select appropriate centrifuge tubes and high-quality adapters.
4. During use, place centrifuge tubes symmetrically; distribute angular rotors evenly; and place horizontal rotors with identical weights symmetrically.
5. When installing the horizontal rotor, make sure the rotor is properly seated and the rotor cover is securely tightened. If this step is not performed correctly, it could damage the rotor, the centrifuge cover, or the chamber.
6. Set parameters such as centrifugation time, speed, and temperature. During use, do not exceed the maximum speed allowed for the rotor.
7. Press the start button, and once the speed reaches the set rotational speed, begin timing. If you notice any abnormal noises or vibrations, immediately stop the operation and perform a thorough inspection.
Desktop centrifuge Instructions for rotor use during operation:
1. To ensure the efficiency of the desktop centrifuge and its service life, it is recommended to use the original manufacturer’s rotor.
2. Regularly inspect the centrifuge tubing and fittings. Do not use rotors or buckets that show obvious signs of corrosion or mechanical damage. Damaged rotors should be replaced immediately.
3. During use, the rotor and rotor cover must be securely tightened; for horizontal rotors, identical baskets must be suspended.
4. If the rotor becomes contaminated, immediately clean it with a neutral detergent—this is especially important for the holes in angular rotors and swinging-bucket rotors.
