Overview of the Applications of Multi-Tube Low-Speed Centrifuges
Release time:
2011-12-29
Overview:
Centrifugal separation technology is a new technique developed based on the behavior of particles under practical centrifugal forces. Particles of different densities, sizes, or shapes settle at different rates in a centrifuge; thus, a generally spherical, non-homogeneous mixture can be separated by centrifugation. Centrifuges are used for further biochemical research and for the large-scale separation of various substances.
Overview of Multi-Tube Low-Speed Centrifuges:
Centrifugal separation technology is a new technique developed based on the behavior of particles under practical centrifugal forces. Particles of different densities, sizes, or shapes sediment at varying rates in a centrifuge; thus, a generally spherical, heterogeneous mixture can be separated by centrifugation. Centrifuges are widely used for further biochemical research and for the large-scale separation of various substances—for example, collecting cells, separating plasma, isolating DNA and protein molecules from these pre-purified preparations, as well as purifying viruses and performing large-scale separations of Escherichia coli, cellular components, and nucleoprotein particles. This machine features microcomputer control, digital display, brushless motor, touch panel, and programmable operation. It includes automatic RCF calculation and setting functions, and is equipped with multiple protective programs against overspeed, imbalance, and open-door conditions. It also comes with an electronic door lock and a variety of rotors. The machine is easy to operate and boasts an automatic balancing function.
Main technical parameters of the multi-tube rack low-speed centrifuge:
Maximum speed 5000 r/min
Maximum relative centrifugal force: 4390×g
No. 1 Horizontal Rotor 7 ml × 72 (4000 rpm) RCF: 3000 × g

5-leaf rotor 50 ml × 6 (5000 rpm) RCF: 3500 × g
10 ml × 12 (5000 rpm): RCF: 3500 × g
Timing range 0–99 min
Overall machine noise <65 dB(A)
Power supply AC220V 50Hz 10A
External dimensions: 460×550×340 mm (L×W×H)
Weight 30kg
How to use:
First, place the centrifuge tubes provided with this unit into the corresponding tube holders on the rotor. The mass of the substance added to each centrifuge tube must be roughly equal. Close the lid, connect the power supply, and press the “Select” button. Use the ▲▼ keys to choose the desired speed and working time, then press the “Confirm” button to confirm your selection. Next, press the “Start” button, and the centrifuge will enter operation mode. When the set working time is reached, the centrifuge will automatically sound an alarm.
Precautions:
1: It is strictly prohibited to allow any liquids or other foreign objects to enter the centrifuge chamber. Otherwise, the main unit may be damaged.
2: The instrument’s casing should be properly grounded to prevent accidents caused by moisture affecting the entire unit.
3: When the head is spinning at high speed, please do not open the top cover casually.
4: When an error occurs during selection confirmation, an automatic alarm will be triggered to remind you to reselect.
Repair and Parts:
If you notice any eccentricity in the centrifuge rotor during use, have a qualified technician inspect and repair it. First, open the bottom cover and check whether the three supports of the motor are misaligned. Simply adjust them accordingly.
